Limedrop SS11 "Far From Home"

The current collection from Limedrop is some of the most stunning, high fashion gear we have in store. The highlight of their ranges always seems to be the beautiful digital prints they emblazon across silk blazers and tops. This season the 'summer lake' ( in the tuxedo park jacket or silk singlet) pattern and the 'colourburst' (in the tuxedo park jacket) pattern are the features. the intricate, almost photographic patterns are printed on to exquisite silk, which is the perfect material for it. The patterns are definitely not the sort to be conventionally found on clothes, but i think that is what makes them so striking; they are so different and individual. its like an artist has painted their greatest work onto a jacket instead of a canvas. the other defining thing about Limedrop is the shapes. The 'Teal Oxford Pants' are one such example, the wide leg cut is sooooooo flattering, not to mention the gorgeous torquoise tone of the fabric. The 'Leatherette Jersey Skirt' is another example, the cinched in waist and a-line skirt is flattering on most, and leather is huge this season.
