Article 22 // Giving Back To The World Through Fashion

Article 22 // Giving Back To The World Through Fashion
We're so excited to introduce ARTICLE 22 to you all!  Their designs are beautiful and raw, and each collection tells otherwise unknown stories and gives back something to the world in a meaningful way.
As an example of ARTICLE 22's endeavour, their first collection 'PEACEBOMB' is jewellery made from Vietnam War era bombs by Laotian artists. By turning weaponry into jewellery, ARTICLE 22 have become a company recognised internationally as the pioneers of this concept.
Each piece supports artisan livelihoods, village development, and de-mining in Laos. At the current rate of removal, it will take an approximately 800 years to clear all unexploded ordnance from the war. With each Peacebomb item sold, ARTICLE 22 and the artisans of Ban Naphia support their families, community, and country, helping make land safe for all.
By investing in a piece by ARTICLE 22, you are helping a broader cause. For example, one bracelet purchased from the PEACEBOMB collection will clear three square metres of bomb littered land in Laos.
By cultivating the talents of artisans in forgotten places off the beaten track, ARTICLE 22 are helping to promote community development in these areas, and give something back to the communities themselves.
Each piece is designed for those concerned by authenticity and quality, those curious to discover. ARTICLE 22 present a new kind of luxury, a luxury that is intimately intwined with a broader, meaningful purpose.
ARTICLE 22 has been recognised by global consumers and press as pioneering the transformation of weapons to jewellery and, more generally, the tangible value of transformation through fashion.
